TSG Warzone: Halo 5 Warzone in Halo Infinite

TSG Warzone is a mode inspired by the beloved PvPvE zone capture mode from Halo 5, built entirely using Halo Infinite's Forge. In addition to the familiar progression of the original mode, the recreation adds over 50 new and unique sandbox items to Halo Infinite's sandbox.

This project begun in January, 2024 as I was looking to take on a project that would display the power of Halo Infinite's Forge after being a part of multiple Halo Infinite mapping projects, and getting familiar with the limits of the editor. With the initial scripting help of Captain Punch and the weapon design expertise from Implied Skill, I was confident to tackle on the project with said team. The experience aims to bring back the same 12v12vAI gameplay that players enjoyed in Halo 5 Warzone, just adapted to the sandbox and movement of Halo Infinite, and with no microtransactions.

We plan on releasing the mode and supported maps before HCS Worlds 2025, having at least the fully playable and feature-complete experience playable by then. Hopefully some of you will join us in attempting to play it on the free play stations there!

We are currently hosting open impromptu playtests either in the customs browser, or with streamer lobbies with the help of various BTB streamers such as:

Being a part of a playtest is just a matter of being there at the right time, and knowing what session to look for! A general timeframe we've had ranges from 14:00 EST (19:00 UTC) to 20:00 EST (1:00 UTC) The maps we host start with "Warzone | " in the name, and the mode we're using uses the naming scheme "Warzone | TSG x.x.x". These are currently unpublished assets, but they will be released non-copy protected upon initial feature-complete release.

Closer to the date of HCS Worlds, we will do scheduled playtests on The Scripter's Guild Discord as we are projected to be in a mostly feature-complete stage by then, and can better ingest specific player feedback.
