Like the title says, reach out notable halo youtubers to see if they are willing to work with you to make this website better known, its also a good chance to perhaps meet some people to help with the maintenance of the website through said creators. This place is really ambitions and I want it to succeed, but if this place is going to get big and stay big we are going to need to make many more people actually aware of it, and such a website wont be able to be run sustainably by only 2 people.
I agree. I see potential in this. I know Mint Blitz is aware of this website because i asked when i played with him, so hopefully he makes a video on it.
@mr-nottzg I hope we can get other youtubers to bring it up as well, mint blitz tends to be really focused on competitive players from what ive seen, which leaves out people who play who mainly play campaign and/or mods
@neoluna22 Maybe we should get UberNick or HiddenXperia to talk about this, maybe even HaloFollower.
I mean ideally sure, that'd be the way to go. But lets be honest the site right now is a haphazard old-school forum and that's about it?
Personally I'm here for the Halo Waypoint Forums nostalgia. What would YouTubers have to say about this site that Reddit or Discord doesn't already do?
@sir-cool-one The porblem is reddit is a cess pit and discord has so many slioed halo servers that the wider halo community has become fragmented, an old school forum like this, at least once they get the bugs worked out, is a place where the fans can have a unified platform. The point of bringing youtubers in is to spread awareness that said platform exists so more poeple use it.
The remaining batch of influencers (such a tarnished term nowadays) aren't gonna help much with this case. Forums are already seen as archaic and the general feeling from people on all things Halo is a state of post-mortem. The forum space itself really needs to be secondary; attached to something the site should be offering that's far more captivating. There's only so much people can discuss Halo anymore and unless there's something that'd be rewarding enough to incentivize site usage; this will fizzle out pretty quick before quietly folding.
@sir-cool-one Halo Waypoint was always in a dreadful state due to the nature of it's operation. Look back to the communities from bungie.net and roosterteeth.com for better examples regarding formations of the Halo community during it's early years before the fall.
Hi! I recently joined the forums. It would be great to include creators from other countries as well. I'm from Mexico, and we have a strong community of fans and content creators.
